Truss fork, clearance for 3″ tires, 220mm cranks
This was an experiment – would 220mm cranks work on a Jeff Jones inspired mountain bike for a 6’8″ rider? Yes! The wheelbase is longer than a typical mountain bike but, that is overshadowed by the fact that the bike actually fits me. It’s like I’m a kid again! It handles perfectly, descends without making me feel like I’m going to go over the bars and the 3″ tires soak up everything. I just wish I could use it more often!
